The California Studies Blog is a project of the California Studies Association, an interdisciplinary, trans-mural organization based at the Dept. of Geography at UC Berkeley. Our members, steering committee, and constituents are all over the state. The organization has many ongoing projects. Our annual conference is the most significant event we work on, but we host a dinner speakers series at UC Berkeley, and work on a few internet projects, like California Thinkers, a syllabus project, among other things.

The California Studies Blog now partners with the H-California Discussion Network and Art California, two substantial resources for networking and information.

The blog is edited by two members of the California Studies Association steering committee.
