A question posed by Louis Warren at UC Davis to a sister H-Net list, H-West, might interest CSA members: “Can anybody recommend an article or essay – - even an unpublished one – -that makes a case for California Studies as a coherent methodological
    and/or theoretical field?”

Mr. Warren’s email address is: lswarren@ucdavis.edu

    Best to all,

Jeff Lustig’s twenty-year-old report/essay is probably the best conceptual, if not methodological, discussion of this topic. I’m not sure of the exact title.
