Author Patricia Wakida will discuss her forthcoming book, The Los Angeles Atlas, on Thursday, May 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. A former staff member of the Japanese American National Museum and Heyday Books, Wakida’s publications include, Only What We Could Carry: The Japanese American Internment Experience. Her new book is an innovative study of L.A. geography and society. The talk will be at the UC Berkeley Center for Labor Research and Education, 2521 Channing Way (just east of Telegraph Ave.).
